Make Mine a Fukk

Syrup The Syrup film producers want to mock up some cans of Fukk. I think they are hatching some kind of promotion. They asked if I had a design in mind, and I said not really, but I bet if I mentioned it on my web site, somebody would come up with something good.

So here we are. If you invent a graphic design the producers like, they’ll mail you some of the mocked-up cans, and I’ll send you an autographed book, and the next time we’re all in a limo with Natalie Portman and she says, “I don’t wanna go home! Where can we party?”, we’ll suggest your place. Although that last one has never happened yet, so I wouldn’t count on it. Still: cans and book.

Your design should:

  1. be for an energy drink called “Fu*k” (as opposed to a cola called Fukk; that’s changed in the script)
  2. be shaped appropriately to be used on a can
  3. probably have a black background
  4. be cool

I’m thinking you may not need to be particularly fancy on this one, because understated is cool. But whatever you think. If you want to enter, email me.

Ahhh... hehe. Tempted to try my luck.

(To be honest though, I'd be more thrilled to have that book dude over at my place to party, what's his name, Maxx something, than Natalie Portman, who's also cool.)

It's times like this that I wish I was good with Photoshop!

Thought of the day: if someone regularly drinks cans of "Fu*k", does that make them "Fu*kers"? If your mother regularly drinks cans of ...

... I'll get my coat!

I think it should be like Jonse Soda here in the states where people email in black and white photos to be used on the label, but instead of children playing or a fish eye of a cragly homeless man, it can be of people getting owned. Like this http://you.justgotowned.com/ . Also fu*k should still be a cola, the energy drink should be called "fu*ked UP". The tag line could be "go Fu*k yourself" or "get Fu*ked" More witty to come.....

Can I use MS Paint? :D

It would be cool to have a design that changes when the can goes from cold to warm. Maybe when it's real cold it only says fu*k in a very small font, and when it gets to room temperature the font grown in size to cover the whole can :P

Fu*k! It needs some ice.

Oh yeah, more to the point, how long do we have to make a design and send it in?

@thewylddream,

lol, it's funny how I also felt the need to include the capacity (in metric, though) and the little TM :D

What about the nutrition facts? There are all kinds of oppertunities there. Even if I cant spell them.

Oh, and the UPC on the can should be the UPC of the book.

@ austin

LMAO "Enough" that is EXACTLY what the can should say. I mean why admit how much is in the can?

Make sure to check out the "K" - it's a bit subtle for some.

I really like James' mock up. Very subtle on the "K." But you just gotta love Austin's mock up. That's probably how mine would turn out, too. =)

Has anyone made any suggestions on who should play the roles of Scat, 6, Sneaky Pete, @ and Cindi. If anyone should play them it should be these actors and actress'

Scat- Zach Braff....Easiest pick ever.

6-Shannyn Sossamon...The really cute girl from A Knights Tale 40 Days and 40 Nights and the Rules of Attraction.

@-Should be played by Scarlette Johansson...But a lot Bitchier

Cindi-Amy Smart...Seems like the right Actress to play a semi-small role well enough.

Sneaky Pete...I have no idea, I really don't. Who do guys think should play these roles?

I see Collin Chou when I think of Sneaky Pete (the guy who played Seraph in The Matrix series).

Good call, I was bored at work and I couldn't think of anybody that fit Sneaky Pete, that guy totally fits.
